More than 100 healthcare heroes are being honoured by Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust as part of a recognition event.
The Star Awards is a celebration of staff who have gone above and beyond their roles to deliver exceptional care to patients.
There are 20 categories in the event which includes employee of the year, volunteer of the year, new leader and also recognises teams across the Trust.
Former Eastenders star and ITV weatherman Des Coleman will host the event in October.
Siemens Healthineers are sponsoring the Prize for Innovation, whilst E-Bike Brum is supporting the Green Award. Meanwhile the registered charity for the Trust, Your Trust Charity is sponsoring Fundraiser of the Year.
Sir David Nicholson, Chairman, said: “The Star Awards is the highlight of our year. There are both teams and individuals who have risen up and played a critical role during this pandemic. There are also those that have gone above and beyond within their regular areas of healthcare and we think it is important that these efforts are still recognised.”
