Bus routes to Midland Met
For a better patient and visitor experience, Midland Metropolitan University Hospital will have a range of transport options.
The Trust is also working with the Local Authority Highways Teams to make sure traffic management works for both the Trust, our patients and for local residents, who are our neighbours.
Alongside clearly marked pedestrian and cycle entrances across the site, ample parking and public transport options will be available.
There will also be a number of Electric Vehicle Charging Points and a large number of secure cycle storage facilities, with separate storage for our employees.
Public transport
We have partnered with Transport for West Midlands to establish a number of dedicated service routes and route changes to help everyone reach our new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.
From 29 September the following services will be in place:
- No. 54/54A – will be combined into one route to serve Midland Metropolitan University Hospital
- No. 89 – this service will now terminate at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital instead of Bearwood.
- No. 82/87 – journeys from Birmingham will be diverted to serve the new Grove Lane Stops. Journeys towards Birmingham will continue their existing route and serve the bus stop on Dudley Road.
The nearest rail station to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital is Smethwick Rolfe Street.
Parking
