From 6 October, Sandwell Health Campus will offer services for outpatients, diagnostics, day case surgery and treatments at Sandwell Treatment Centre. It will also continue to host Sandwell Urgent Treatment Centre.
What services are available
There will be lots of services remaining at Sandwell Health Campus and some new ones too.
An expanded Urgent Treatment Centre will be open seven days a week seeing over 35,000 people with minor and intermediate emergency needs.
A major outpatient centre able to offer adult and paediatric consultation in key specialties. A chemotherapy unit for cancer care. And short stay surgery.
Sandwell Health Campus will be the Trust’s main base, with key ancillary and support services located there. It will be our research and development hub, home to our education centre, and the home for many consultants as well as the Trust’s leadership team.
This site will become our Sandwell Treatment Centre providing Outpatient services including:
- Ophthalmology
- Ear, nose and throat (ENT)
- Gynaecology
- Paediatrics
- Dental
- Orthotics (main department)
- Midwifery led antenatal care
- Dermatology
- Therapy Services – Musculoskeletal, hand therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, foot health
- Cardiac rehabilitation
