Mick joined the Trust in May 2019, he is a chartered accountant and experienced chief executive. Mick is currently the chief executive of the ExtraCare Charitable Trust, a charity that builds and runs the UK’s largest retirement villages.
Before joining ExtraCare he was chief executive of the Student Loans Company, a government-funded ‘digital exemplar’ organisation that distributes c£20 billion per annum and has seven million customers. Mick has also previously been chief executive of Advantage West Midlands, and the regional development agency for the West Midlands.
Mick has held a number of non-executive director roles in the public, private and third sectors and is currently a non-executive director and vice-chair of the Association of Retirement Community Operators (ARCO), he is also a non-executive director of the Dudley Group Foundation Trust.
Mick was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant for the West Midlands in 2018.
