Thank you to everyone who attended the Primary and Secondary Care Interface session on March 19.
The two-hour session was held in room 10 of the Education Centre, Sandwell Health Campus at
1pm, and featured talks from Dr Vinoda Sharma on ECGs in General Practice, and Dr Stavros Apostolakis on Atrial Fibrillation.
We also had a special guest travel from Oxford to speak about the ‘Oxford GP Cardiology Model’.
Dr Alex Pitcher, Consultant Cardiologist and Clinical Lead from the Integrated Community Cardiology at Oxford University Hospitals, discussed the Oxford Cardiology Model, where they train GPs to be cardiology specialists in Primary Care.
