NHS Trust to host bereavement services event

24th Aug 2023

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust are inviting members of the public to join their event in aims of enhancing bereavement services.

Speaking about the event on Wednesday 6 September, Sue Edwards, Bereavement Lead Nurse, said: “We understand how important losing a relative or friend can be. We want to ensure that we provide the best care to loved ones during this important time in their lives.

“When we lose someone close to us, there are lots of things that need to happen, at a time when we are grieving their loss. Our aim is to make this process as easy and seamless as possible – this is why we urge members of the community to join us and help improve our bereavement services over some afternoon tea.

“Although everyone is welcome to attend, we’d love to hear from relatives and carers that have experienced a bereavement within our hospitals, to give us feedback about the care their loved one received from the Trust and learn more about their bereavement journey.”

The event will take place at the Brasshouse Community Centre in Smethwick at 1pm.
