On 20 May 2026, supporters, sponsors, businesses, and education partners from across the Midlands gathered at Millennium Point for an evening of fun, friendly competition, and fundraising at the first ever Your City & Metropolitan Hospitals Charity Black-Tie Quiz Night.
Hosted by celebrity broadcaster Manish Bhasin, the black-tie charity quiz brought together members of the local business community, colleges, universities, donors, and supporters, all united by a shared goal: raising vital funds to support patients, staff, and communities served by Your City & Metropolitan Hospitals Charity.
Speaking on the evening, Jemma Martin said:
“Our black-tie charity quiz night at Millennium Point brings together our community of supporters and partners for an engaging evening of fun and friendly competition, while raising vital funds to support Your City & Metropolitan Hospitals Charity’s work. This event aims to increase awareness of our cause, strengthen our relationships, and raise money to help us continue creating a meaningful impact across for the patients, people, and communities we serve.”
During the event, guests heard more about the work of Your City & Metropolitan Hospitals Charity, the independent registered charity supporting Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, including hospital sites at City Hospital, Rowley Regis Hospital, Sandwell Hospital, and Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, alongside GP sites and wider healthcare partners.
Each year, the Trust cares for more than 530,000 patients, supported by over 8,000 staff. The charity funds projects and equipment that goes above and beyond NHS provision, including specialist medical equipment, enhanced patient environments, staff wellbeing initiatives, and life-changing support services.
Guests enjoyed an evening of networking, entertainment, and quiz rounds, all while helping to raise an incredible total of £22k towards local healthcare initiatives.
The winning team on the night was:
Forvis Mazars and Team ‘Life on Mazars’

The charity would also like to thank all Mastermind sponsors (Mills & Reeve, Unity Trust Bank and Birmingham City University) table hosts, donors, and volunteers who made the evening possible.
