Experience/Areas of Interest
Dinah has over 15 years of experience in NHS finance, including SureStart financial management, financial accounting, finance business management for community and mental health services, two Deputy Director of Finance roles and Acting Director of Finance. Her most recent role was in NHS Improvement where she was Head of Business and Finance for the West Midlands region. This latter role afforded Dinah experience and strong networks in strategic and national policy, and many large capital business cases, as well as day to day oversight of financial performance, supporting trusts in navigating the current challenging context, and the regulatory framework.

Before commencing accountancy training Dinah was a qualified nurse, training in Bristol and qualifying in 1995, working then as a nurse in Southampton, regularly in charge of a mixed medical and surgical cardiac ward. This gives Dinah a unique insight in to the relationship between the finances of a hospital and the impact on patient care.
