Residents are being invited to find out more about their local NHS services at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Health Fayre this autumn.
As health and NHS services remain among the issues people care about most, this is an important opportunity for local residents to hear about services, ask questions and help shape the future of healthcare in their communities. It is a topic that is relevant to almost everyone as most people either use NHS services themselves, have a family member who does, work in healthcare, or need to know how to access healthcare whether planned or in an emergency.
This event, taking place at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital on Wednesday 7 October, will offer members of the public the opportunity to learn more about their local healthcare services, meet NHS staff and community teams, receive health and wellbeing advice, and take part in a range of activities and information stands. Visitors will also have the chance to go behind the scenes at some of the Trust’s busiest hospital departments through a series of guided tours following the AGM.
The Health Fayre will run from 12 noon until 4pm, followed by the Trust’s Annual General Meeting and behind-the-scenes tours from 4pm until 6pm. The event will provide an opportunity for local people to learn more about the work of the Trust, hear about its achievements over the past year and find out more about plans for the future.
