Community-based facility, The Learning Works, is celebrating Adult Learners’ Week, 20th-24th May, by inviting local people to come speak to their specialists at a variety of drop-in sessions.

Lawrence Kelly, Centre Coordinator, said: “Adult Learners’ week presents the perfect opportunity for people to explore the many types of learning available to adults. The Learning Works specialists are dedicated to helping local people access employment in the health sector via a range of work experience, apprenticeships, volunteering and adult learning opportunities.”

Pop in to one of the sessions, all of which are between 10am and 3pm, to find out how The Learning Works can support you.

Monday 20th May – Work Experience; Tuesday 21st May – Literacy and Numeracy awards, how to update your skills and gain confidence, leading to a recognised award; Wednesday 22nd May – Apprenticeships, qualification based programmes leading to real job opportunities. Jessica Pardesi from Unison will also be at The Learning Works on Wednesday 22nd May launching Unison’s new learning portal and inviting you to give it a go.

If you are unable to make any of the drop-in sessions The Learning Works team will be available all week, 20th-24th May, 10am-3pm, to talk to you about access to employment.
