Star Awards 2017

Do you know a team or individual who deserve to be recognised for their outstanding patient care? Nominations for the 2017 Star Awards are now open!

The Star Awards are how we recognise the hard work of our staff and volunteers, both on the frontlines and the supporting services.

This year, the Star Awards are set to be the biggest and best yet with 18 categories recognising those colleagues who go above and beyond the call of duty to help us provide great care and support to our patients.

The ceremony which is due to take place on the 13 October at Villa Park will be the highlight of the staff calendar. There are 18 awards categories up for grabs this year, 16 of which are open to staff to nominate colleagues, teams and services.

Patients, visitors, carers and primary care colleagues also have the opportuninty to nominate as part of the Quality of Care Award and Local Primary Care Award for the Most Valued Service in the Trust.

Announcing the opening of nominations, Trust Chairman Richard Samuda, said:  “It’s important that we take the time to recognise and celebrate the hard work and determination of our staff who work tirelessly to provide safe and effective care every single day.

“I’m always humbled by our staff; they have been accustomed to going above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis that they often don’t recognise the impact that it has on the patient and their families. It’s our job to highlight the amazing work and ensure that our staff are recognised for their outstanding contributions.”

Nominations for all awards  are open from the 1st May and stay open through to 30 June. Please take the time to think about who has gone the extra mile and submit your nomination.
