Chaplaincy during COVID-19
As of December 2020 until otherwise updated

We are really thankful that we have been able to work alongside you all this last year, even more grateful that our 24hr call out system was used by many. Going forward it has been decided, for now, that we do not visit wards as usual. However this does not mean our on call rotas will be effected, our team will take a call from the operator anytime of the day or night, for staff and patients.

The prayer room and chapels are both open for private prayer for you to use.

Ring 0 and ask the operator for the on call chaplain or ask for the faith specific chaplain.

Non-urgent appointments can be made via the Chaplaincy offices during normal office hours from Monday to Friday.

City Hospital: 0121 507 5051

Sandwell General Hospital and Rowley Regis Hospital: 0121 507 3552

Please be aware that answer phones are often in operation whilst chaplains are on their duties around the hospital. Messages will be responded to as soon as possible.

City Hospital Chapel can be found on the first floor of the main building, opposite Ward D20. It is open between 8am and 8pm. The weekly R/C Mass takes place on Saturdays at 6.30 pm and the regular Sunday Ecumenical Service takes place at 11.00am

Sandwell Hospital Chapel is on the second floor of the main building. Follow the signs outside the lifts. It is also open and the weekly Sunday service takes place at 4.30pm. Wudu and toilet facilities are next door.

At Rowley Regis Hospital, contact the matron. Occasional services are held on wards.
