D43 is a rehabilitation ward which provides care and support for patients who suffered a stroke.

The treatment and care provided enables patients to become independent, helping them to carry out day-to-day tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and walking, on their own.

This ward is no longer accepting new admissions and is scheduled to close in March.

Patients needing stroke rehabilitation services will now be admitted to Newton 4 at Sandwell.
