We are committed to growing your career with us with dedicated training and bespoke development plans.

By joining us, you can choose to participate in our rotational programme that will enable you to work in Emergency, Colorectal and Orthopaedics departments so you gain hands-on experience in different areas and develop your knowledge and skills.

We offer a comprehensive Preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses which includes five taught days, whereby staff learn extended skills such as male catheterisation and IV fluid and drug administration.

We also provide a supernumerary induction programme and mentorship package for all new staff.

Our competency programme enables you to develop your skills further in the acute assessment and care of patients with basic and more complex needs.

The Trust supports development from occupational competences to leadership development opportunities. The Trust offers development opportunities linked to service development, professional development CPD and individual training plans agreed via the appraisal process. We provide leadership development which is underpinned by ‘Action Centred Leadership’ (ACL) programmes and supported by Myers Briggs Type Indicator, coaching and 360 feedback. We support employees to participate in a range of educational programmes from vocational qualifications via apprenticeships to post graduate and master level degree courses.
