Trust helping smokers to kick the habit

18th Jun 2013

Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals (SWBH) NHS Trust’s Health and Wellbeing Facilitator, Jenny Wright, invites you to ‘just ask’ about quitting smoking in an upcoming Twitter surgery on Friday 21st June.

Jenny will be available from 2-3pm on Twitter and Facebook to answer questions, offer advice and provide information about quitting smoking.

Jenny said: “As part of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Health Promoting Hospitals network, we owe it to our community to not just treat people when they are ill, but to do our best to keep them well; smoking can lead to all sorts of health problems and this is why we want to let smokers know it’s never too late to quit. Once you start giving up your body will begin to feel the benefits straight away.

“Giving up smoking isn’t easy, but there are many options open to help you to quit smoking and stay smoke free. I will be offering advice and information on these options during the Twitter surgery this Friday”.

Tweet your questions to @SWBHnhs and use the hash tag #SWBHjustask to join in the conversation or post your question to the Trust’s Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/SWBHnhs
