Sandwell’s district nurses caring around the clock
AS temperatures soar across the region, Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals (SWBH) NHS Trust is keen to ensure all patients who may need help from Sandwell District Nursing Service are able to get through on their new number.
Accessing Sandwell District Nursing Services out of hours reduces the number of elderly and vulnerable patients needing to attend A&E and provides essential support to patients in their own homes, ensuring that they are kept safe and receive the care that they need.
Patients who need end of life care, have wound dressings they need to be changed or have catheter problems, along with a whole variety of other reasons may need to contact the district nursing team for out-of-hours care.
The Sandwell District Nursing Service currently has more than 3000 ‘active’ patients; there will also be patients who will have used the service in the past who may need to contact the team.
Sandwell District Nursing Service has had a change in contact number for their out-of-hours service. This is the number that patients can contact the team on between 6pm and 8am Monday to Friday, over the weekends and on bank holidays.
The new number is: 0333 999 7083
