Speciality
I obtained my first degree, from the University of Oxford in 1985, with subsequent undergraduate training in medicine MBBS at the Royal Free Hospital in London in 1990. In 1993 I undertook MRCP postgraduate training in general medicine at Hammersmith Hospital in London and at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. In October 2001, I was awarded an MRC Senior Clinical Fellowship based upon the ideas that fibroblasts, far from being passive players in the immune response, directly regulate inflammatory responses.
