Local Asdas support SWBH Charity by holding toy collection in stores
08 January 2014
Asda Great Bridge and Asda Tipton spent December encouraging locals to donate toys in their Christmas trolley collection to support the SWBH Charity Christmas appeal. Both the Asdas have donated a huge number of toys which helped to make Christmas-time in hospital more enjoyable for sick local children.
Lisa Pearson from Asda Great Bridge and Paula Beddoe from Asda Tipton paid a visit to the Children’s Department at Sandwell Hospital on 19 December armed with trolley-loads of toys to help make Christmas magical for sick children on the wards.
The donated toys were collected from the beginning of December at both the local Asda stores, donated by generous customers who wanted to make Christmas special for children spending the festive period in hospital.
The SWBH Charity is currently raising money to redevelop its children’s play area at Sandwell. If you would like to fundraise or donate to support this or any of our other services, contact the fundraising team on 0121 507 5196 or email swbh.fundraising@nhs.net
