The Trust is working to reduce the amount of waste we generate. We have been working hard to reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill and recycle more.

From early 2014, the Trust began recycling 100% of its general waste (meaning zero waste is sent to landfill). The Trust’s recycling and general waste contractor has recently opened a Materials is now sent to this facility for recycling.

At City Hospital we are running a ‘Dried Mixed Recyclables’ scheme where staff can get involved in recycling. We also have mini ‘recycling centres’ at City Hospital and Sandwell General Hospital.
