Sponsors of the Employee of the Year Award
Through generous donations and legacies from patients and relatives, as well as the fundraising efforts
of staff, The Trust Charity is able to make a real difference to people’s lives. This year The Trust Charity
has given over £1m to a range of projects, all to enhance the experience of staff, the services we offer
patients and their families, and the community within which Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust operates.
We have four priorities, seeking to invest in small and large schemes that offer: new and innovative ways
of working; support for our communities; education for staff and patients; and improved infrastructure.
The schemes we have funded include £2,000 for the SWB choir, so that patients and visitors to
the Trust can be entertained by their singing, £250,000 to establish domestic abuse workers in our
Emergency Departments in partnership with Sandwell Women’s Aid, and £60,000 for special equipment
for newborn babies with jaundice so that parents can still cuddle their infants while receiving light
therapy. We need your help to keep giving to these important projects. Help us to really make everyone
matter in Sandwell and West Birmingham.
