Protected Mealtimes
Between 12:30pm and 1:30pm, and 5pm and 6pm, we try to stop all unnecessary visits to our wards.
This is so that our nurses and ward service officers can ensure that our patients receive the food they need and help to eat when necessary.
Some of our patients who need help to eat their meals are more comfortable with their relative or carer feeding them. In these cases we can arrange for a patient’s carer to visit the ward to provide extra help on a case by case basis. Please speak to the ward manager if you would like to help at mealtimes.
