Professor Sean Kehoe

Speciality
Professor Kehoe qualified from Trinity College Dublin and then undertook various posts in Ireland to achieve MRCOG. He moved to the UK and commenced research into ovarian cancer at Birmingham University, followed by a Lectureship and RCOG sub-speciality Training in Gynaecological Oncology. He was appointed Senior Lecturer in Birmingham and in 2002 elected Foundation Professor of Gynaecological Cancer, University of Oxford, and Fellow of St Peter’s College. Professor Kehoe developed the Oxford Gynaecological Cancer Centre, and in 2012 was elected to the Lawson-Tait Chair of Gynaecological Cancer, Birmingham.
Professor Kehoe has published over 125 papers/book chapters and edited seven books. He is Past President of the British Gynaecological Cancer Society and is on the Editorial Board of BJOG and Chinese Medical Journal, and previously of many other journals. Professor Kehoe is involved in research, teaching and clinical work.
Professor Kehoe’s special clinical interests are:
- Ovarian, cervical, endometrial and vulval cancers
- Vulval disorders
- Pre-invasive disease of the vulva, vagina and cervix’
