This is Ian’s SWBH Moment.
Ian had suffered a detached retina many years previously, and his eyesight had deteriorated over that time. Thanks to a state-of-the-art retina laser scanning system at our BMEC facility, we were able to provide Ian with new treatment options that ultimately restored his sight. Thanks to a charitable legacy from one of our patients, we have now been able to purchase this yellow retina laser system. This supports Ian, and many others, with significant vision loss.
